Job summary

Vigor Marine Group in Seattle seeks a Manufacturing/Engineering Leader to design and optimize production strategies, systems and processes for safe, high-quality builds within budget. You will drive sustainable improvements via Lean/Six Sigma and cross-functional collaboration to support multiple shipyards and projects.

The role requires 5–10 years in a production environment, strong CAD/CAM and data-analysis skills, and leadership capabilities to guide diverse teams toward aggressive efficiency

Qualifications

Degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering is required.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a similar production industry.
Green belt or higher in Lean/Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare calculations and analyze technical studies to resolve problems.
Develop build strategies, erection sequences, lifting strategies.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Coordinate with design firms and internal teams to resolve design issues.
Develop specifications and processes for components and systems.
