Job summary

Figure AI in San Jose, CA seeks a seasoned Manufacturing Quality Engineer to own quality on in-house assembly lines, define control plans, and drive automated inspection from NPI to mass production. You will lead audits, implement PFMEAs, and translate DFMEA classifications into process controls.

You will analyze field failures, drive 8D/5-Why investigations, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to close feedback loops. Strong GS&T and SPC skills required.

Qualifications

7+ years of quality engineering in high-volume electromechanical manufacturing.
Hands-on PFMEAs and control plans carried from NPI into production.
GD&T knowledge and interpretation of complex drawings.
Experience with SPC and data dashboards from inspection data.

Responsibilities

Own quality on in-house assembly lines (battery pack, final robot).
Define control plans, in-process/end-of-line checks, and automate inspection.
Lead line audits of process, tooling, gauges, data recording, operator training.
Act as quality voice on next-gen robot builds; sign off PFMEAs.
Own field failures and remanufacturing QA; drive corrective actions.
Contribute to quality management system and supplier QA collaboration.
