1X is seeking a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing, to develop and improve manufacturing quality systems for humanoid robotic hardware—from subassemblies to final end-of-line testing. This cross-functional role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering, manufacturing operations, and product reliability.

You will lead PFMEA, DOE, and data-driven investigations to drive yield, robustness, and production readiness across multiple sites, partnering with Test, Firmware, and Design teams to embed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Electrical/Robotics).
• 3+ years in electromechanical hardware testing or manufacturing quality environments.
• Experience with PFMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, and statistical analysis methods.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement manufacturing quality strategies to improve reliability and production readiness.
• Lead PFMEA and failure analysis to reduce escapes and improve robustness.
• Analyze production/test data to identify yield loss drivers and action opportunities.
• Partner with Test, Firmware, and Design to integrate quality checks in manufacturing workflows.
• Drive DOE and validation activities to improve test accuracy and production consistency across sites.
