Job summary

MSI Express, INC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Saint Charles, IL to lead engineering and project management for manufacturing operations. This role covers all project phases from concept to start-up, including design, budgeting, scheduling, line layouts, procurement, and commissioning.

You will apply GMPs and sanitary design principles, develop safe manufacturing systems, and oversee external partners to meet product and capacity needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or related environment.
• Demonstrated success leading medium-to-large capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Experience mentoring engineers, technicians, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs all phases of project management and engineering for manufacturing operations, including scope definition, design, budgeting, scheduling, line layouts, purchasing, cost estimating and control, implementation, system integration, documentation, report writing, start-up, and training.
• Applies extensive knowledge of GMPs and sanitary design principles to engineering projects.
• Leads capital projects and facility improvements, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and service providers to meet requirements.
• Leads cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
