Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. in Illinois seeks an experienced engineer and project manager to lead medium to large capital projects in manufacturing. You will oversee scope, design, budgeting, scheduling, line layouts, procurement, and commissioning in a fast-paced environment.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and technicians, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure GMP compliance, safety, and continuous improvement through cost reductions and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Facilities, or Maintenance Engineering.
• 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• Experience leading medium-to-large capital projects and managing vendors/contractors.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project management and engineering for manufacturing operations.
• Apply GMPs and sanitary design to engineering projects.
• Design safe manufacturing systems and select/manage outside firms and vendors.
• Provide technical leadership and oversee capital projects and facility improvements.
• Mentor engineers and technicians and drive cost reduction and operational excellence.
