Technique, Inc. in Jackson, Michigan seeks a Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will lead production teams, coordinate resources, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, strong knowledge of Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and ERP/MRP systems, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP production planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production teams – lead, manage, and develop production supervisors and staff.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands.
• Ensure production lines operate efficiently while minimizing downtime and waste.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Conduct safety audits, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Ensure employees follow proper work procedures and training requirements.
• Partner with Quality to ensure products meet specifications and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs such as productivity, labor efficiency, downtime, and delivery performance.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain staffing, materials, and equipment.
• Work with Maintenance to ensure proactive maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements.
