Job summary

Technique Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our Jackson, Michigan facility. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for negotiating vendor terms, prices, and scheduling delivery in line with budget and schedule requirements.

The position requires strong communication and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years in purchasing, knowledge of material grades, and PO management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years purchasing experience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word; ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes and confirm purchase orders; file PO documents.
• Monitor material ETAs and coordinate pick-ups with shipping.
• Negotiate with suppliers and seek continuous improvements.
