Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Belleville, MI is seeking a Full-Time Production Supervisor to oversee shifts at the Belleville Plant 2 facility. You will supervise Production Supervisors, manage staffing, uphold safety and quality standards, and ensure accurate records and timely production performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
• Effective email and electronic communication skills are required.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates, and prioritizes activities of Production Supervisors to meet customer, plant and management requirements.
• Ensures effective use of manpower; studies production schedules and estimates worker hours.
• Reviews and approves manning plan with Human Resources.
• Assists in screening and hiring new hires for the operations department.
• Communicates and leads end of shift and closeout meetings.
• Ensures accurate production, quality, and timekeeping records are kept by supervisors.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production goals.
• Promotes safety standards and enforces them.
• Trains and develops manufacturing management and associates in practices and policies.
• Promotes fair and respectful administration of employment policies.
