Job summary

Autokiniton Belleville Plant 2 is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead hourly skilled trades and drive reliability. You will schedule preventive maintenance, review production and quality reports, and implement new methods to reduce costs and improve labor utilization.

Bachelor’s in AS in Manufacturing preferred; six years of supervision plus one year in management. Strong English, lean knowledge, and team leadership required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
• Six (6) years as a maintenance supervisor, plus one year of management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and regulatory standards (TS 16949, ISO 14001).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying equipment.
• Assists in developing preventive maintenance programs.
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports to plan activities.
• Inspects operating machines and equipment for compliance with standards.
• Plans and implements methods to improve operations and reduce costs.
• Directs training of workers on policies and procedures.

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.

• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
• Assists in the development of a preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
• Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance operations.
• Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct leadership and supervises hourly skilled trades colleagues.
• Ability to identify, select, train and coach.

This Full-Time, salary role is a part of our Autokiniton – Belleville 2 team and reports to the Technical Services Manager.

Required Experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred. Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) years as a maintenance supervisor preferred, and one (1) year of management experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes as required for the position.
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to mentor and teach the team in effective problem solving methods.
• Experience as a training facilitator preferred.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Duties include but are not limited to stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk and hear, with an ability to travel.When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration or hazardous materials.
