Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations (1st Shift) in Decatur, AL. You will lead a cross-functional team to drive safety, quality, delivery and cost while advancing Lean capabilities in a high-volume plant.

You will coach leaders, manage budgets, and ensure standardized work and 5S practices across the area, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and developing talent.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing and related functions.
• BSc/BA in engineering, supply chain or business; Lean/Metrics experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.
• Lead and develop salaried and hourly production staff across shifts.
• Drive Lean improvements, standard work and escalations to resolve abnormalities.
• Manage budgets, track metrics and report daily production performance.
• Champion safety and quality, mentor leaders, and ensure training and compliance.
