Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Maintenance & Facilities for the 2nd shift in Decatur, AL. You will lead a multi-craft maintenance team, coordinate daily activities, and work with Operations and Engineering on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and project launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 7+ years in maintenance/engineering/operations in manufacturing.
Experience in maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, fabrication, robotics, PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide active day-to-day leadership for a skilled maintenance team on second shift.
Review work schedules and manpower for production needs.
Develop employees’ skills through coaching and training.
Address employee concerns and document discussions; participate in disciplinary actions as needed.
Partner with HR to ensure fair administration of policies and processes.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal maintenance safety codes; maintain safety records.
