Job summary

Badger Meter seeks a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations to lead Production Operations, Production Control, Inventory Management, and Shipping & Receiving. This role drives planning, scheduling, capacity, and continuous improvement to meet customer demand while prioritizing safety and quality.

The successful candidate will develop teams, establish clear KPIs, and partner with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize material flow and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing/ops environments.
• Experience managing performance via KPIs, metrics, and CI initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
• Lean Six Sigma experience or certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Production Operations, Production Control, Inventory Management, and Shipping & Receiving functions.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams through coaching and succession planning.
• Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and operating standards aligned with business objectives.
• Own production planning, scheduling, and capacity management to meet demand.
• Drive schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory performance, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure effective execution of production control, work order management, and material flow activities.
• Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure readiness and success.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools; drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Foster safety, accountability, teamwork, and a customer-focused culture, ensuring compliance with policies.
