Job summary

National Gypsum Company in Portsmouth, NH, seeks a Senior MMDP candidate for Production Management to fast-track experienced manufacturing professionals into plant leadership roles. The program reports to the Plant Manager and operates onsite at US plant locations.

The role oversees 24/7 production lines, safety training, budgeting, and performance metrics; includes SAP usage, cycle counting, and PM programs. Competitive salary with relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science/engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum of 8 years in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Minimum of 3 years as a manufacturing department manager with safety, quality, productivity, cost, and capital responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the 24/7 operations of production lines and related plant operations.
• Ensure a safe working environment through effective safety training and inspections.
• Actively monitor shift activities for quality, process, maintenance and personnel issues.
• Manage department labor, productivity, and maintenance budgets to meet cost goals.
• Motivate personnel to promote morale, housekeeping, and high productivity.
• Responsible for accurate production reporting and raw material inventories.
• Conduct and evaluate testing processes to improve product consistency and quality.
• Investigate quality complaints and implement corrective action.
