Job summary

Sora Resource Group in St. Joseph, MI area seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Manager to lead production and drive operational excellence in a tech‑driven automotive environment. You will own P&L, shape 6–12 month strategies, and supervise budgeting, scheduling, and material control to meet customer demand while controlling costs.

The role emphasizes Lean practices, safety compliance, and developing a high‑performing team on a multi‑shift, 100% permanent workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree considered.
• At least five years in a similar operations management role.
• Experience in metals environments (stamping, machining, fabrication) or automotive supplier.
• Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports.
• Experience overseeing 100+ people in multi-shift operations.
• Knowledge of variable cost, labor planning and related costs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• P&L & Cost Management: evaluate plant P&L and monitor variable costs to maximize profitability.
• Strategic Planning: direct daily production activities with 6–12 month planning cycles.
• Budgeting & Scheduling: oversee operations budget, labor planning, production scheduling, and material control.
