Job summary

Silfex Inc., A Lam Research Company, Springfield, OH, seeks a Senior Manager for Crystal Growing and Shaping operations to guide a team of leaders and drive production excellence. You will shape policies, ensure on-schedule manufacturing, quality adherence, and cost control while coordinating expansion projects and plant property improvements.

You will partner with Sr. Director of Operations on labor issues, safety, and training, and lead improvements using Lean and 6S across Silfex facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 6–8 years of management experience.
• Lean/TPS concepts knowledge; experience in TPS/Lean environment preferred.
• Ability to lead, plan, and communicate with all management levels.
• Experience presenting to large groups and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manages manufacturing to ensure timely, cost-effective production.
• Ensures orders meet specifications, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Maintains standards for product quality and equipment performance; approves purchases.
• Leads safety, scheduling, training, and labor relations with Sr. Director of Operations.
• Plans production schedules and coordinates with equipment, materials, and staff.
• Supports Lean manufacturing initiatives and 6S; maintains company values.
