Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. leads the Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering team for the Boeing Wichita Commercial Airplanes site. The role focuses on safety, quality and delivery while increasing stability and partnering with P&IE Sr. Manager counterparts to ensure standardization across the site.

The leader will manage a large high-rate production line, drive process improvements and resource planning, and collaborate with Operations to achieve site goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of management experience with direct reports.
• 5+ years of leading projects in a production environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills.
• Strong emotional intelligence and professional presence to work with executives and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Industrial Engineering team for a large high-rate production line with resource allocation, scheduling and recovery plans.
• Establish and administer processes, policies and practices and determine resource requirements and redeployment plans.
• Oversee budgets and development projects for the organization.
• Understand full life cycle requirements for product development and define future factory vision and strategy.
• Collaborate with Operations and P&IE Sr. Manager counterparts to ensure standardization and consistency.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers; drive on-time delivery of quality products.
