Job summary

Form Energy in Weirton, WV, is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to lead development, commissioning, and continuous improvement of production equipment for next‑generation energy storage technology. You will work with Process Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and external vendors to deliver robust production systems.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years in manufacturing or equipment engineering.
• Experience designing and commissioning production equipment.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals in machine design.
• Experience with vendor collaboration from design to startup.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment for prototype and production.
• Own equipment projects from concept through startup, ensuring safety and quality objectives.
• Collaborate with vendors to develop specs, resolve issues, and support FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing problems during integration, startup, and ramp.
• Partner with Process Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Controls, and Quality teams.
• Develop equipment specs, layouts, tooling, fixtures, and improvements.
• Lead design reviews and identify manufacturing risks early.
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability, uptime, and throughput.
• Support production by addressing failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
