Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will troubleshoot and repair systems, perform tests and calibration, and coordinate across engineering disciplines to minimize downtime, while maintaining high product quality.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with wiring diagrams, electronics assembly, and documentation, with strong teamwork abilities and familiarity with JIRA, Agile, and SAP or equivalent tools.

Qualifications

• AS degree or trade school; eight years troubleshooting experience preferred.
• B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with engineers and line supervisors to ensure systems are in good working order.
• Perform quick triage, recommend actions to limit downtime.
• Conduct simple reworks on the spot (crimping, soldering, adjusting alignments).
• Document activities for formal records and quality notifications.
• Order parts and assemble/bring up duplicate fixtures for production.
• Assist with engineering tests and data collection for experiments.
