Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with an electrical engineering background to support DFM reviews and the integration of electrical design into production. The role emphasizes close collaboration with mechanical design, tooling teams, and production floor to ensure repeatable, scalable manufacturing.

Expect hands-on design updates, process improvements, and active participation in cross‑functional projects.

Qualifications

• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles applied to digital and physical builds.
• Electrical design fundamentals including low- and high-voltage circuits and control systems.
• Experience with wiring harnessing production and IT infrastructure needs.
• Ability to read and create precise technical drawings and models.
• Experience with troubleshooting, tool design, and fixture design for repeatability and safety.
• Strong communication between Engineering and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Review designs for manufacturability (DFM) during digital design and physical construction.
• Use SolidWorks Electrical to create/edit designs for production use.
• Advise Engineering on consistent documentation for DFM.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering on electrical inputs for wiring and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain standard work documentation.
• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Support production through training on standard processes.
• Troubleshoot build issues and clarify engineering intent.
• Create and maintain fixtures and tooling designs using hand tools and shop machinery.
• Conduct testing/validation and document results.
• Analyze CR/COs and assess impact on schedule and costs.
• Serve as liaison between Engineering and Production.
• Drive safety, quality, efficiency, and standardization improvements.
• Handle multiple project requests and travel as needed.
