Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with electrical background to support design for manufacturability and production readiness. You will work across mechanical, electrical, IT teams to ensure wiring, pass‑throughs, interfaces, and safety requirements are met on new projects.

Role emphasizes collaboration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency on the production floor.

Qualifications

• DFM principles applied to digital and physical builds.
• Electrical design fundamentals including 12V/24V DC and 120V/240V AC.
• Design/wiring/installation for industrial equipment and cabinets.
• Tooling/fixture design for safety and efficiency.
• Material selection and cost considerations.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and CAD models.
• CAD proficiency including SolidWorks Electrical.
• ERP/change control workflow knowledge.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review designs for manufacturability during digital design and build.
• Create/edit designs with SolidWorks Electrical for production use.
• Bridge Engineering and Production to document DFM requirements.
• Collaborate on wiring passthroughs, routing, interfaces, and waterproofing.
• Develop and maintain standard work documentation.
• Lead tooling/fixture design and process improvements.
• Support production with troubleshooting and engineering intent.
• Conduct testing and validate results; document findings.
• Analyze CR/COs and assess impact on schedule and cost.
