Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) in Montana is seeking an MFE with electrical background to support design for manufacturability, tooling, and production processes. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to resolve issues, develop wiring, and ensure safety and quality.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, cross‑functional teamwork, mentorship, and continual improvement of manufacturing architecture.

Qualifications

• DFM principles and application during digital and physical builds.
• Electrical design fundamentals for low/high voltage circuits and control systems.
• Wiring/harnessing production and installation within industrial equipment.
• Tooling/fixture design for safety and efficiency.
• Material selection, fabrication methods, and cost considerations.
• Proficiency with CAD and documentation practices; change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Review designs for manufacturability during digital design and physical construction.
• Use SolidWorks Electrical to create/edit designs for final production.
• Advise on consistent documentation for DFM across builds.
• Coordinate between Engineering and Production to address wiring/passthroughs.
• Develop and maintain standard work documentation and fixtures/tooling.
• Support production through training on standard processes and issue resolution.
• Analyze CR/COs and assess schedule and cost impacts.
