Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead complex manufacturing processes from concept to design and to scale production of solid fuel rocket motors. You’ll develop novel processing solutions, set standards, and oversee capital equipment decisions with ROI analysis.

You will work with contract manufacturers and internal teams to ensure safe, high-quality, at-scale production, mentoring junior engineers while driving continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver processes and products on time in a safe manner that meets requirements.
• Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of multiple complex manufacturing processes from concept to design.
• Develop novel processing solutions for assembly of solid fuel rocket motors at high volumes.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Independently evaluate and recommend capital equipment with ROI analysis.
• Manage CapEx projects from concept to implementation.
• Control project budgets with on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Write work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for scaled production.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable production processes.
• Mentor and guide new engineers.
