Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for its Manufacturing team to rapidly iterate and build cutting-edge defense hardware, specifically solid fuel rocket motors. You will own end-to-end manufacturing processes, establish standards, and drive ROI-focused capital investments.

The role requires hands-on leadership, deep manufacturing know-how, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process roles.
• Proven ability to deliver processes on time safely and to spec.
• Experience physically manufacturing hardware (machining, fabrication, etc.).
• U.S. Person status required for export-controlled data access.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of multiple complex manufacturing processes from concept to design.
• Develop novel processing solutions for assembly of solid fuel rocket motors at high volumes.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Independently evaluate and recommend significant capital equipment with ROI analysis.
• Manage CapEx projects from concept to implementation and control budgets.
• Write work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for scale.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable, at-scale processes.
• Mentor and guide new engineers and optimize established production processes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts across all levels of the organization.
• Travel to suppliers for sourcing, issue resolution, and quality procedures as needed.
