Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our Vista, CA site to enhance production operations with a focus on softgel encapsulation. You will lead process improvements, trouble-shoot production issues, and support daily activities, ensuring GMPs and lean practices are embedded across lines.

The role requires 7+ years in production/manufacturing engineering, experience with CAPA/RCA/Kaizen, and a strong background in project management and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Food Engineering.
• Lean Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years in production/manufacturing engineering with softgel encapsulation experience.
• Experience in project management, cost saving, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D to launch new products.
• Optimize equip and processes for efficiency.
• Develop and train staff on Work Instructions per GMPs.
• Provide SME support for softgel manufacturing.
• Lead CAPA, RCA, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
• Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
• Apply statistics to optimize encapsulation line.
• Oversee IQ/OQ/PQ of capital projects.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Stay updated on manufacturing tech and upgrades.
