QuidelOrtho is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead transfer of products from R&D to production, develop manufacturing instructions, and drive process improvements in a high-speed, regulated environment.

The role is on site in Carlsbad, CA, requiring strong problem solving, excellent communication, and hands-on engineering to ensure world-class manufacturing. A BS degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Understanding of GMP and lean manufacturing principles.
• Advanced problem solving and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing strategies for transfer from R&D to production.
• Maintain manufacturing instructions, SPC, routings, and BOMs.
• Lead cross-functional projects and develop project plans.
• Ensure processes comply with QSR standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Install and validate equipment and train operators.
