Job summary

Firehawk Aerospace in Addison, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, optimize, and support manufacturing processes for rocket motor systems. You will work with design, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient, high-quality operations and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing, strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and DFMA, and experience with CAD tools (Creo/Windchill) and ERP/PLM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, process development, or production support in aerospace/defense.
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to lead manufacturing design processes flow.
• Experience with manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, flow diagrams, control plans).
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DFMA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize integration and manufacturing processes for rocket motor systems.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and provide DFMA feedback.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process docs, and manufacturing plans.
• Lead process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
• Support LAT activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Drive automation and advanced manufacturing initiatives.
