Job summary

Pacific Fusion is seeking a hands-on manufacturing/process engineer in Fremont to own pulser module assembly and transition components into production. You will work with technicians to keep builds progressing, develop workload instructions, and drive DFMs with design engineering.

You'll manage schedules, resolve non-conformances, and help scale operations as production volumes increase, in a fast-moving startup setting. Strong background in electromechanical assembly and high voltage is valued.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of manufacturing or process engineering in hands-on production.
• Experience leading or mentoring technicians on a production floor.
• Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, work instructions, and production docs.
• Hands-on electromechanical assembly with high voltage or pulsed power preferred.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and root cause analysis (8D/5-Why).
• Ability to read, interpret, and create drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where processes are defined.
• Experience on prototype-to-production transitions on a startup.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing processes for pulser module assembly.
• Manage transition of new electrical components from design to production.
• Collaborate with technicians to keep builds progressing and resolve issues.
• Handoff documentation to production with processes and resolutions.
• Manage build schedule using MS Project and communicate status.
• Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineering and support DFMs.
• Identify production non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Define tooling, fixtures, and equipment for safe, efficient assembly.
• Track cycle time, yield, and first pass rate, driving targets.
• Scale-up assembly operations from low-rate to higher volume.
