Job summary

GE HealthCare in State College, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to partner with local and global teams to support product transfers and drive long-range process optimization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience; or 10+ years with a high school diploma/ GED.

Responsibilities

• Control production processes, tooling, and equipment to maintain the validated state while meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Identify manufacturing issues, determine root causes, and implement cost-effective, sustainable solutions that improve product quality and process performance.
• Monitor productivity and process performance using data analysis and engineering judgment to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional manufacturing projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with operational, quality, and business objectives.
• Create and maintain clear, accurate, and sustainable manufacturing documentation, including records required by change-control processes.
• Lead tooling, fixture, equipment, and process-development efforts that strengthen manufacturing capability and support future business needs.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, Quality, Operations, site leadership, and global teams to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
• Serve as a technical mentor and resource, sharing knowledge and supporting the development and success of peers.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to long-range planning by identifying future manufacturing needs, technology opportunities, capacity constraints, and process innovation initiatives.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
