GE HealthCare in State College, PA is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to partner with local and global teams to support product transfers and drive long-range process optimization. This role focuses on ownership, mentorship, and data-driven decision making to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
You will lead cross-functional projects, develop robust manufacturing documentation, and influence peers through technical leadership and collaboration. Travel up to 10% is expected.
Based at our State College facility in Pennsylvania, this Lead Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with local and global manufacturing teams to support products transferred from other GE HealthCare sites, including the ongoing transfer of manufacturing operations from Horten, Norway. This role is responsible for supporting critical transfer activities, sustaining manufacturing performance, and identifying opportunities for long-term process optimization and innovation. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader within the organization. This position is well suited for an engineer pursuing future people leadership opportunities or an experienced individual contributor who leads through technical expertise, project leadership, collaboration, and innovation. Success in this role extends beyond individual accomplishments and includes enabling the success of peers, projects, and the broader organization. This position requires strong ownership, clear communication, and the ability to influence across all levels of the business. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will drive data-based decision making, process observation and refinement, tooling and equipment improvements, documentation excellence, project leadership, and long-range planning to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
