Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements and coordinate cross-functional projects in a New Britain, CT facility. You will define quality standards, review process variances, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.

The role emphasizes working across the manufacturing lifecycle, from startup to established processes, with a focus on thermal spray experience and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Material Sciences, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal skills and proficiency with MS Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Improve efficiencies in the current manufacturing process techniques; investigate and analyze the process, creating a final process per customer specifications.
• Coordinate engineering projects related to the manufacturing process (including machine setup).
• Define, interpret, and develop quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
• Review complex in-process rejections and trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and all company departments to resolve technical and quality problems.
• Performs technical surveillance of a semi-routine nature of processes and procedures; providing support to team members as needed.
• Understand and work with thermal spray processes.
