Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Sr. to drive process improvements across CCA and module assembly builds. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a CCA/subassembly/module manufacturing role with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with SMT, PTH, AOI, and/or coating equipment.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs, stand long periods on the production floor.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with interruptions and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize CCA and module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the CCA build process using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
• Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions, SOPs, and design specs for fixtures and stencils.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance to ensure seamless implementation of process changes.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation and training materials.
• Conduct experiments and trials to validate improvements and ensure equipment compatibility.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production staff and mentor as needed.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure process effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
