Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III in Concord, CA. This role provides technical manufacturing liaison support from design through production, ensuring high quality and efficient operations.

You will collaborate with Design, Procurement, Assembly, and Quality to drive manufacturability and implement state-of-the-art techniques while supporting continuous improvement and lean projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional manufacturing projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to document and solve complex cross-functional challenges using structured problem solving tools.

Responsibilities

• Attends design reviews and assesses manufacturability and cost.
• Reviews drawings prior to Production Release for manufacturability.
• Evaluates make/buy options and advises on in-house vs. outside vendor capacity.
• Engages in vendor surveys and evaluates tooling, fixtures, and equipment needs.
• Monitors daily production activities and recommends efficiency improvements.
• Coordinates with Methods and Tooling for tooling and process definitions.
• Supports Lean initiatives including 5S, TPM, and VSM.
