Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. in Santa Ana, CA, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design and production, ensuring high-quality electronics manufacturing.

You will collaborate with design, procurement, assembly and quality teams to drive manufacturability, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery in a 24/7 global operation. The ideal candidate has 8 years of experience in complex high-tech manufacturing, strong leadership, and ISO compliance knowledge; a BS in Engineering is required with an MS

Qualifications

• 8 years manufacturing engineering experience in high complexity technical projects.
• 5 years experience leading technical projects in cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• 3 years in an engineering leadership or SME role.
• 3 years of experience in ISO compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering; MS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical manufacturing liaison required for production from the design phase through all phases of production.
• Reviews/oversees engineering design drawings prior to Production Release for manufacturability and compatibility with state-of-the-art techniques.
• Assumes lead technical role in make/buy evaluations and makes recommendations on in-house vs outside vendor manufacturing capabilities.
• Assists in vendor surveys and evaluates tooling, fixtures, and equipment requirements.
• Participates in MRB and CCB processes to ensure producibility and adherence to standards.
• Coordinates with Methods and Tooling for drawings, flow charts, layouts and process instructions.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering

MS in Engineering field preferred
