Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturability, lead cross-functional collaboration, and optimize production from design through release.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong ISO/compliance experience, and a track record of mentoring others while supporting a global 24/7 operation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
• MS in Engineering preferred; experience in aerospace/defense electronics is a plus.
• Strong background in manufacturability reviews and production release.

Responsibilities

• Attend design reviews and evaluate manufacturability.
• Oversee make/buy decisions and supplier capabilities.
• Assist in tooling, fixtures, and equipment planning.
• Support Lean initiatives and 5S, TPM, VSM projects.
• Coordinate with Methods and Tooling for process instructions.
