Allison Transmission, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to monitor and optimize manufacturing processes, coordinate production integration, and analyze efficiency data.

The role partners with the manufacturing manager to maintain standards and drive new production methods. Responsibilities include designing systems for quality and throughput, documenting processes, evaluating new equipment, and supporting capital projects with strong cross-functional collaboration and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of experience preferred for senior role.
• CAD proficiency (NX and/or AutoCAD).
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing systems with focus on continuous improvement for quality and throughput.
• Develop process documentation (PFMEAs, routings, flow diagrams, error proofing).
• Evaluate and lead tryouts of new machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical support to plant operations and capital projects.
• Develop cost estimates for major programs and lead implementation of new production methods.
• Collaborate with manufacturing management to maintain standards.
