Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive assembly process development across Hose, Pumps, Extrusion, Injection Molding, and single-use assemblies. You will target performance improvements, support volume growth, and improve KPIs for existing and new products.

You will collaborate with local and global teams to standardize tooling and processes, manage capital expansions, and ensure quality and safety in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• B.S Degree in Engineering or equivalent US Military experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment, preferably assembly and test with SPC to maintain process consistency.
• Experience analyzing production assembly and test equipment and processes and documenting modifications.
• Experience with workflow optimization using lean transformation tools.
• Experience with 2D & 3D CAD.
• FMEA, DFMA and RCA experience; Six Sigma Black or Green Belt preferred.
• Quality tool implementation and analysis.
• Participating in and leading Continuous Improvement activities.
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team to maintain milestones and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement projects using appropriate tools and techniques to optimize productivity with global teams.
• Ensure safe design including ergonomic attributes of assembly equipment and cells.
• Support NPD teams to ensure manufacturing requirements are met efficiently.
• Ensure compliance to regulatory procedures, including safety and quality within the assembly and WMFTS.
• Arrange procurement of jigs/fixtures and manufacture assembly aids; ensure safety and performance.
• Oversee tool and gauge specification and purchasing.
• Provide front line fault-finding and diagnostics on assembly equipment.
• Assist in reporting and solving production problems and customer complaints.
• Act as technical leader within the department.
• Propose cost justifications for new processes/equipment to improve productivity.
• Advise corrective actions and visit suppliers as needed; manage ECO system.
• Produce and maintain standard operating procedures with visual aids.
• Other duties as assigned.
