Job summary
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Kingston, NY facility. This on-site role supports the manufacturing department, improving work methods, production processes, and tooling to meet specifications and business objectives.
Reports to the Manufacturing and Technology Engineering Manager. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with proficiency in EdgeCam, Creo, and Siemens NX, plus
Qualifications
- Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in EdgeCam or similar CAM systems, and working knowledge of Creo Elements/Direct Drafting and Siemens NX 3-D CAD.
- Manufacturing experience in metal cutting and CNC machining.
- US work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Develops and updates process sheets, routings, and operation sketches.
- Designs production tooling and programs CNC machines (CAM/CAx).
- Troubleshoots manufacturing operations and supports floor production.
- Partners with Product Engineering, QA, Accounting, and Customer Service.
- Evaluates processes for efficiency gains and cost savings.
- Coordinates evaluation and implementation of capital equipment.
- Prepares cost estimates for parts production.
- Maintains routing and BOM data in the MIS.
- Supports plant layout development and tooling improvements.
