Job summary

Safran Federal Systems seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement and NPI from a manufacturing perspective. You will develop new processes, validate changes, and ensure producibility across product lines.

You will apply Lean principles, create process documentation, support ECOs, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality and efficiency. Based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing principles and process optimization experience.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and process development.

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from the manufacturing perspective, including pilot builds and process validation.
• Develop, validate, and implement improvements to existing products and processes while adhering to manufacturing standards.
• Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams and manufacturing documentation for production and CI initiatives.
• Contribute to ECO processes with manufacturing input and implementation support.
• Research, develop, and implement manufacturing methods to improve capability and efficiency.
• Apply manufacturing principles to improve quality, productivity, and performance.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and drive KPIs.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation for production readiness and training.
• Participate in design reviews with DFM feedback to improve manufacturability and quality.
