Job summary
Valcor Engineering Corporation is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing development, fixtures, and process improvements at our Springfield, NJ headquarters. The role requires designing, validating, and coordinating fixture programs for NPI efforts, with strong cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or the technical equivalent.
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience leading others preferred.
- Experience with fixture design.
- Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools.
- Proficient in the use of SolidWorks.
Responsibilities
- Design, draw, have manufactured, inspect, and validate manufacturing, assembly, and test fixtures.
- Coordinate with planner / buyer, design & test engineers on fixture jobs / PO’s, priority, and schedule for NPI programs.
- Lead or support cross functional teams to identify and remove waste from processes.
- Develop new and improve existing manufacturing, assembly, and test processes and cells.
- Review and approve ECO’s for new and changes to drawings, documents, etc.
