American Computer Development, Inc. (ACDi) “In Touch With Technology” is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing process development and optimization for electronics assembly and related operations in Frederick, MD.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, tooling design, and NPI support. You will collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
Strong experience in electronics or electromechanical production and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of NP I, DFM/DFT, Lean or Six Sigma, and cross‑functional leadership.
CAD tools proficiency and ability to document PFMEA and control plans.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for electronics assembly, box‑build, cable and harness production.
Analyze production workflows and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize operations.
Design and implement tooling and fixtures; support new product introduction (NPI) and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians; participate in customer technical discussions and strategic decisions.
Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
