AV is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to design and operate the manufacturing systems for unmanned air vehicles.

You will select the best technologies, plan the factory, and lead maintenance and continuous improvement across the manufacturing process. You will apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce cycle time, cost and defects, create value stream maps, and develop capacity models while coordinating with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure quality and on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar field.
• 8–12 years of experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Test Engineering or similar in Aerospace, Automotive, or Commercial industries.
• Experienced in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology.
• Experienced with electro-mechanical manufacturing, drawings, procedures and BOM.
• Experience using Office suite, MiniTab, Oracle, Agile, and CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
• Occasional travel to supplier sites (up to 30%).

Responsabilités

• Creates and manages equipment specifications and documentation for development and production.
• Implements Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve productivity, quality, and lead time.
• Generates Value Stream Maps to reduce cycle time and waste.
• Develops manufacturing strategies and capacity models for products.
• Creates work instructions and documentation for manufacturing processes.
• Performs cost estimation for tooling and crosses Make/Buy decisions.
• Conducts DFM, cost, and reliability analysis with design team.
• Coordinates with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure conforming parts.
• Determines methods for new assignments and may lead others.
• Other duties as assigned.
