Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Sr. to drive process improvements across CCA and module assembly. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CCA/subassembly/module manufacturing with focus on process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to walk stairs and stand for long periods on production floor.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with interruptions and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize CCA and module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in the MK48 assembly area using Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and SOPs for fixtures and stencils.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of changes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct experiments and trials to validate improvements and ensure equipment compatibility.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production staff and trainees.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure process effectiveness and identify further improvements.
