Job summary

DAC Engineered Products LLC is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead operational excellence during a major facility relocation and process stabilization in our aerospace manufacturing environment. This hands-on role combines Lean process design, equipment maintenance, safety strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure long-term performance of production, repair, and testing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in aviation/aerospace.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting a facility move or major layout transformation.
• Strong CAD, ERP/MRP, and data analysis skills.
• Proven track record implementing Lean manufacturing tools and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design support from vetting to proposal through design, manufacturing, and qualification testing.
• Lead and coordinate engineering activities for a full-site relocation and shop floor layout development using Lean principles.
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing Orders (MO), Bill of Operations (BOO), and Bill of Materials (BOM) in ERP system.
• Apply Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, standardized work, visual controls) to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Write and support SOP/SWI documents, work instructions, and inspection processes.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor KPIs such as TAT, FPY, and scrap/rework; drive improvements.
• Collaborate with QA on root-cause analysis, corrective actions for quality and safety issues.
• Collaborate on preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment.
