Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain fabrication methods, sequences, and processes for parts and assemblies. • Demonstrated conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts and assemblies.
• Coordinate release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Lead team in using DFx principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
• Determine time standards; recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop and use test procedures; evaluate results; assess methods and policies.
• Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions; mentor lower-level engineers; coordinate sourcing with suppliers.
