Saab AB in the United States leads manufacturing engineering initiatives from concept to production launch, driving safety, quality, cost and delivery improvements. The Senior Staff Manufacturing Engineer delivers technical leadership and scalable manufacturing solutions across the organization.

Responsible for cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and data-driven decision making, you will apply Lean/Six Sigma and validation methods to improve safety, productivity, and equipment

Qualifications

• 8+ years related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a master's; or a PhD with 3 years.
• Strong experience in manufacturing process development, optimization, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept through production.
• Proficient with engineering documentation, data analysis, and standard manufacturing tools.
• Strong technical communication, presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently determine appropriate methods, procedures and evaluation criteria.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and align stakeholders with differing priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify needs and develop solutions.
• Develop and improve manufacturing standards, procedures and work instructions.
• Develop testing and validation methods for new or modified processes.
• Track project performance, identify risks, and coordinate actions to maintain progress.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma and root-cause analysis to problems.
• Lead equipment selection, installation, qualification and validation activities.
• Translate technical issues into clear business impacts, risks and opportunities.
