Job summary

Aerostar Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead new product introductions, manufacturing process development, customer Design Quality Reviews (DQRs), and continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Technicians.

You will drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, GD&T, Control Plans, and manufacturing readiness activities, partnering with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Program Management, and customers to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, GD&T, PFMEA, Control Plans, Lean Manufacturing, and manufacturing process development.
• Experience supporting OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process development from concept through production launch.
• Represent Aerostar during customer Design Quality Review (DQR) meetings.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, GD&T, Control Plans, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Program Management, and customers to ensure successful product launches.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Technicians.
