Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is expanding its De Soto, Kansas operation and seeks a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead medium-sized projects, improve processes, and mentor engineers within a high-volume lithium-ion cell environment.

You will collaborate across Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Controls to optimize safety, quality, and throughput while delivering data-driven improvements and scalable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; independent project leadership preferred.
• Strong cross-functional communication and mentoring capabilities to support junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates deep technical expertise in manufacturing, process, equipment, or automation domain.
• Leads medium-sized process improvement, equipment upgrade, or automation projects with defined scope and timelines.
• Evaluates manufacturing system performance and recommends data-driven technical solutions.
• Mentors Manufacturing Engineer I and II, and supports cross-functional technical reviews.
• Presents updates and risk assessments to management and stakeholders.
