Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support, improve, and sustain Class 3 PCBA manufacturing in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment. You will be a technical leader across SMT, through-hole, mechanical, test, rework, conformal coating, and final inspection operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering in electronics or high-reliability environments.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA processes: SMT, through-hole, soldering, rework, inspection, coating, test support.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations for Class 3 PCBA assembly, rework, test, coating, and final inspection processes.
• Provide technical guidance to production teams to resolve issues, bottlenecks, yield concerns, and process interruptions.
• Review drawings, BOMs, specs, and work instructions to ensure manufacturability and process readiness.
• Develop and improve processes for SMT, selective soldering, hand solder, mechanical assembly, and coating.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, throughput, and defect reduction.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions and preventive actions.
