Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Quality Lead to oversee daily quality operations in a PCBA manufacturing environment. You will supervise technicians, coordinate inspections, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

You’ll ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and ISO-like requirements, while partnering with production, engineering, and supply chain to improve processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics/manufacturing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or process support preferred.
• Familiarity with SMT, through-hole, reflow and soldering processes.
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of Quality Technicians and Inspectors.
• Prioritize inspection workloads based on production schedules and customer requirements.
• Provide training and coaching on inspection methods and documentation practices.
• Act as quality point-of-contact for production lines and cross-functional problem solving.
• Lead nonconformance and CAPA activities; drive MRB meetings where needed.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
