Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in Denton, TX is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to drive design-to-production iterations for metal fabrication projects. You will collaborate with product designers to produce production-ready drawings and lead process documentation.

The role requires hands-on CAD proficiency (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, and continuous improvement initiatives across CNC machining, metal forming, and sheet metal work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in product design and manufacturing processes development and implementation.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, metal forming, bending, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and define problems.
• Automotive industry background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers to translate concepts into production-ready designs.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Participate in PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow diagrams.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production challenges.
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
• Support prototype builds and transition to full-scale manufacturing.
• Interface with Customer Engineering and conduct weekly reviews of new projects.
• Lead the implementation of new manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
